CCTV - from Analog to Digital and IP

The term Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) is used to describe the use of video cameras to transmit a signal to a specific places or restricted viewers in contrast to broadcast TV. The term is popular and used to describe surveillance systems in areas that require monitoring such as home premises, and commercial buildings including banks, casinos, factories, and now in public spaces such as parks, gardens and roads. Serial digital interface (SDI) which is based on a family of digital video interfaces for broadcasting motion pictures is becoming popular in upgrading analog CCTV systems that use coaxial cable.
